kevin "over allowed me trade in" never explained this to me

By sjrutt on 5/1/2015 at 11:52 AM. Helped by kevin, gary fletcher, andy.

when I went to buy a car there was a sticker on the rear view mirror that said $23,269. Kevin told me that car was on special until the next day (end of the month). I told them I wouldn't buy the car unless they gave me $8,500 for my mini Cooper. At first they said it wasn't worth that but finally agreed to. I bought the car. When I was looking at my signed paperwork they listed the price as 26,790!!!!! I called them and they said since my Trade In wasn't worth 8,500 they OVER ALLOWED 1,500 on my car. What that means is they added the $1,500 to my new car! (The other 2k taken off was factory Rebates). my mini that wasn't worth 7k is now for sale on their lot for $11,900. when we tried to tell them what happened they said "that's how we do everybody because their trade in is not worth what they think". they even said "yes they hang down tag said $23,260" I guess a mans word today means nothing to Kevin at Pinegar Chevrolet.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Wonderful

By simone.jones.125 on 10/26/2014 at 9:20 PM. Helped by Harold :).

We were in Branson and had trouble with our 2008 Impala. We called Pinegar and Bill said even though they were busy they would work us in. Harold took the car and in less then 2 hours it was fixed. Bill and Harold were super nice! We were so grateful. They have a nice bathroom and free popcorn in the waiting room. If we lived in the Branson area this would be our place to go!

I would recommend this dealer.

By mycody2014 on 12/4/2013 at 1:50 PM. Helped by Doug Fischer.

I filled out a credit application Mid November 2013 and followed up with an in-store visit the next day. The credit application and everyone involved knew about credit issues before working with me. Doug Fischer was the salesman working with me on a trade-in for my car. I left several messages with him and finance manager, but nobody returned my calls. I did see about 10 inquiries on my credit reports, so the only experience was that they caused my credit rating to drop even further and never bothered to communicate with me. I will not go back to this dealer, even when my credit scores increase. I purchased a brand new Honda in Saint Louis, and it only took 15 minutes.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Would not cover warranty issue on 25,000 mile vehicle...

By TomC5500 on 11/15/2013 at 12:47 AM. Helped by John in service.

Would not cover warranty issue on 25,000 mile vehicle even though I have been complaining about the problem since the truck was new. I have had vibrating brake pedal condition ever since new. I brought it in a few months ago and they found one of the brake pads was deformed and oddly worn but charged me over $300.00. I have been buying vehicles from them for 20 years but they have new management that is the typical younger guy that does not look at the big picture, such as losing a good customer over a measly $300.00 and not selling him or his family another high priced vehicle ever again.

I would not recommend this dealer.
